This is the excerpt for a featured content post.
Sometimes I feel like emerging my
entire body under the ocean,
just to come up with a new beginning,
keeping the good, but erasing the bad,
forgetting my father’s death,
my brother’s selfish ways,
my mother’s personality disorder,
my unpredictable anxiety.
The ocean would take it away and
dissolve it into a blue mystery,
a thing of nonexistence,
a time when I was an innocent child,
unknown to the adult’s twisted mind,
or the evil of an entire planet.
I just want to be sane again and
feel the joy without the pain.
Though I wonder,
if life was that perfect,
would I be this wise?
